IT2Rhine

The Upper Rhine region wants to further develop its leading position in the IT sector under the name of IT2Rhine.The long-standing collaboration in the three-country corner between France, Germany and Switzerland constitutes the particular strength of the economic area. IT2Rhine aims to further promote the existing transnational IT cluster activities. In January 2009 over 15 institutions and IT networks from all three countries started the joint project – they represent over 2,000 companies of the Upper Rhine region’s IT sector. In May the official kick-off event for IT2Rhine was held at the CyberForum Karlsruhe, attended by more than 70 people from business.Via Karlsruhe all partners of the CLOE alliance can benefit from IT2Rhine to get in contact with the ICT clusters of the Upper Rhine valley.
